How to Install the Revit Plugin

The Revit plugin installer is downloaded from the Detail Library page. After installation, you can use Archiboost from inside Revit and work with detail-library actions more directly.

1. Open Detail Library in Archiboost.
2. Click the Revit icon in the toolbar. Its tooltip says Download Revit Plugin. On a smaller screen, find it under More options.
3. Open the downloaded ArchiBoostPluginInstaller.msi file.
4. Follow the installer prompts and complete the installation.
5. Restart Revit if it was open during installation.
6. Open Revit and look for the Archiboost plugin UI.

The web app download step and the Revit-side connection are separate parts of setup. If the installer finishes but nothing appears in Revit, reopening Revit is the first thing to try.

Open in Archiboost: Open Detail Library

For detail transfers, open a model in Revit 2025 or 2026, sign in to Archiboost inside the plugin, and open Detail Library > Staged. Choose Imports to import staged details or Send to Library to send drafting views. Your role needs permission to import details to Revit for either action. If the page reports a connection problem, reconnect the plugin and confirm the intended model is open before retrying.
