Work with floor plans in a calculator

Open the calculator floor-plan workspace, choose a plan, and check whether plan changes have synced.

Open Calculators in a project, open a calculator, and choose Floor Plans. This workspace holds plans separately from the calculator's building inputs.

Create a plan, load the example as a new plan, or import a Revit floor plan from a connected plugin. Use the plan picker or Switch Plan to choose another plan. Check the selected plan before editing or deleting it.

Use the canvas to select and edit elements, pan and zoom, draw walls or separators, place openings and exits, and set room properties. Undo and redo help you revise edits. Check import findings and resolve missing or invalid data before relying on a check result. Changes to the plan can invalidate earlier results.

Understand plan save status

The plan saves independently of Input and has its own indicator:

  • Loading…: Wait for the plan to load before editing.
  • Saving…: A save is in progress; wait for the result.
  • Saved: The plan has no pending save changes.
  • Unsaved: Changes are still pending; wait and check whether the save progresses.
  • Not saved: A save failed. Read the badge's message and check your connection.
  • On this device: The plan is stored on this device and needs to sync when connected.

Keep the workspace open while resolving a failed or local-only save. A plan stored only on one device is not confirmation that another device can load those changes. After reconnecting, confirm Saved before switching devices or reloading.

The Input tab's Save button saves building inputs. Its badge cannot confirm floor-plan persistence. Check both tabs when you change both the building and the plan.
