Check egress on a floor plan

Generate exit travel and occupant-load paths, then inspect the number-of-exits result.

Open Floor Plans in a project calculator, select the correct plan, and complete Room Settings. Place and verify the exits and plan elements that a path must use.

Exit Travel

Choose Exit Travel. Set the number of remote points per exit and choose Generate when the panel is ready. The common-path options require at least two exits. You can also choose a destination exit, place a checkpoint on the canvas, and generate a custom path. Inspect each path against the actual plan; a path is only as reliable as the geometry and exits it uses.

Occupant Loads and Number of Exits

Choose Occupant Loads and select Generate flow. Review the total occupants, exit count, generated routes, and any warning about locked flows. If locks make the flow over-constrained, revise them and generate again.

Then open Number of Exits. Its exit list is derived from the generated occupant-load flow, so the panel asks you to generate Occupant Loads first. Select an exit or room in the list to locate it on the canvas. Check loads, unassigned rooms, and any over-capacity warning; run the available compliance check for the code finding.

Editing rooms, exits, or geometry can invalidate earlier results. Regenerate the affected checks after changes and independently verify the assumptions and code interpretation.
